About Angle-O
Angle-O is a daily precision puzzle that gives you a target angle and challenges you to physically position two lines to match it, in just 2 attempts. Unlike traditional angle games where you type a number, or deduction games where the angle is hidden, Angle-O shows you exactly what you are aiming for. The challenge is not in figuring out the angle but it is in executing it precisely. Each day brings a new target angle, shared by every player around the world, resetting at midnight UTC.
Why We Created Angle-O
Most angle games on the internet ask you to look at a drawn angle and type a number. The challenge is purely one of recognition - can you identify what you are looking at? Our other game, Protracto, flips that by hiding the angle entirely and asking you to deduce it through higher or lower feedback across multiple attempts.
Angle-O is a different kind of spin. What if the angle was shown to you as a number, and the challenge was not figuring it out but physically landing on it? Knowing that the target is 277° and actually positioning a line there with precision are two very different things - and that gap is where Angle-O lives.
We wanted to create something faster and more instinctive than Protracto, where a single attempt carries real weight and the margin for error is unforgiving. Two attempts, zero tolerance, and a target staring you in the face. Simple to understand, genuinely difficult to master.
How To Play Angle-O
When you arrive at Angle-O, the target angle for the day is displayed clearly at the top of the screen. Your job is to position two lines to match that angle as precisely as possible without any degree readout shown while you adjust.
Move the top line away from the bottom line to open up an angle. You can adjust the line independently using the anchor circle at the end to set an angle. When you are confident in your position, hit Submit.
After your first attempt you will be told whether the target angle is higher or lower than your guess - use that single piece of feedback to make your correction on attempt 2. There is no third chance. Every degree of movement counts, and the closer your first attempt is to the target, the easier your second attempt becomes.
There is no degree number shown while you adjust your lines. Showing it would remove the only real challenge — the translation from a number in your head to a precise physical position on screen.
The 2 Attempt Challenge
Two attempts is what makes Angle-O genuinely challenging. Your first attempt is a test of pure spatial intuition - how accurately can you translate a degree number into a physical line position with no visual reference guides. Your second attempt is a test of precision and nerve - you know the direction you need to move, but executing a small controlled adjustment without overshooting requires steady hands and concentration.
Most players find that the closer they land on attempt 1, the more agonising attempt 2 becomes. A single degree of overshoot in either direction and you lose. That tension is what makes the game challenging yet entertaining.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Angle-O?
Angle-O is a free daily angle precision puzzle where you are shown a target angle and must position two lines to match it exactly in just 2 attempts. A new target angle is chosen every day and is the same for all players worldwide.
How is Angle-O different from other angle games?
Most angle games show you a drawn angle and ask you to type a number. Angle-O does the opposite - it tells you the angle and asks you to physically form the angle. The challenge is not knowledge or deduction but spatial translation and motor precision. Two attempts and zero tolerance makes it one of the most demanding angle games available.
How is Angle-O different from Protracto?
Protracto hides the angle and asks you to deduce it through higher or lower feedback across 9 attempts - it is a deduction and spatial reasoning game. Angle-O shows you the target angle as a number and gives you just 2 attempts to physically match it - it is a precision and dexterity game. Same universe, completely different challenge.
Is the target angle the same for everyone?
Yes. The same target angle is shared by every player around the world each day. The puzzle resets at midnight UTC, so everyone is always working on the same challenge regardless of where they are.
How many attempts do I get?
You get 2 attempts. After your first submission you will be told whether the target angle is higher or lower than your guess, giving you one final chance to correct your position and land precisely on the answer.
Can I play past puzzles?
Yes. The Archive section contains every Angle-O puzzle from the day we launched. Each past puzzle can be replayed, and your results are saved so you can see which ones you have already solved. The Archive is also a great way to sharpen your spatial intuition for tomorrow's puzzle.
Does the puzzle reset every day?
Yes. A new secret angle is generated every day at midnight UTC. If you have not played today's puzzle yet, it will be waiting for you when you arrive.
Can I share my result?
Yes. Once the puzzle is complete, a Share button appears that generates a simple result card showing your guess sequence and the number of attempts you used. You can share it directly or copy it to your clipboard.
